The ESC Congress is a key event in our conference calendar, and this year, London will welcome thousands of cardiologists and allied healthcare professionals. Together, they will work to transform patient care and advance the field through cutting-edge research, pioneering technologies, and collaborative initiatives.

The theme of this year’s meeting is personalising cardiovascular care, which focuses on an individualised approach to all stages of disease development, including risk prediction, preventative measures, and precision treatments to improve patient outcomes. 

The latest findings from major clinical trials looking at new potential treatment options will be presented across 12 Hot Line sessions and several Late-Breaking Science sessions will discuss insightful new results from important registries and basic science studies Throughout the course of the meeting international cardiovascular healthcare professionals will present novel ideas and finding across more than 4,000 scientific abstracts.

 In what will be the 30th anniversary of the ESC Clinical Practice Guidelines, four new guidelines will be unveiled in elevated blood pressure and hypertension, chronic coronary syndromes, peripheral arterial and aortic diseases and along with a patient version of the ESC Clinical Practice Guidelines for atrial fibrillation. 

Other sessions to look out for at ESC 2024 include:

    • A new “Patient Voices” track will highlight patient perspectives across various sessions.
    • “The Floor is Yours” sessions will provide an open forum for participants to bring and discuss their questions.
    • A “Digital Health Stage” will host numerous discussions on technological advances and their impact on clinical practice.
    • A “Clinical Implementation” track will offer the latest clinical updates for general practitioners, nurses, and allied health professionals.
